Happy Tails is devoted to the celebration of these wonderful stories with everyone who loves dogs. We hope that you enjoy these "Tails" as much as we have. Thank you!!

Dandi & new family
Dandi Valentino

Dandi landed himself into a wonderful huge home on a huge lake where he will be the only doggie in the house with a retired couple who will dote on him 24/7. He will get to travel 5-6 months in a humongous RV all over the country - what a great life for a little unwanted, neglected dog, huh? He's happy now!

Breanna and new mom
Breanna

Breanna came into UYR from a backyard breeder; even though she was 2-1/2 years old, she was experiencing being a puppy for the first time in her life. Yeah! Breanna was a very popular girlie, and here's what her new mom had to say about how they are doing now:

Breanna's new name is Abigail but I call her Abby. She & I have totally bonded, she follows me everywhere and loves to get (and give) kisses :). We have had a few minor issues with chewing, potty training and fear of stairs but we are working on them and I am confident that with time she will get over them. She has brought so much joy & love into my life, thank you and United Yorkie Rescue for all that you do.

Annie and new family

And a cake, too
Faye

We are very happy to have a new addition to our family. Annie (AKA. Faye) is a pure joy. We are lucky to be the ones chosen to be her parents. Annie is our fifth Yorkie and I must say, she is the best so far. Great temperament, smart, beautiful Yorkie features and a lot of puppy energy! She did beautifully In her puppy class - she even got an award for the fasted tail!! We are looking forward to a long, long life with our Annie. Thank you United Yorkie Rescue!

Kourtney
Kourtney

Finally, here is a picture of Sophie after her first haircut. I asked them to leave as much as possible of her wonderful eyebrows. They did a pretty good job! The photo shows only her head because they did not cut much off of her body - letting her get used to the process gradually. The did bathe her and brush her beautiful coat. Her head is showing signs of changing to grey! We will see how that goes. More to come during the holidays.

Best to you and Frank over the Holiday Season!!!

Peanut and new family
Peanut

Update 10/10/2013: Our darling Stella is wonderful, and enriching our lives more than we ever thought possible. Our yellow lab passed away in May, and we were worried that Stella would be lonely but she has adapted beautifully and no one ever believes her age. Including us sometimes! She is healthy, full of energy and goes everywhere with us. Stella will be 12 on 10/19/2012!

And 10/23/2012 will be the 1 year anniversary of us being a family!

10/24/11: Wendy, I can't thank you enough for bringing this precious little bundle of pure joy into our lives. The night was fine, and a little bark at 6:10am this morning started the day with no problem. She and Clifford act like they have known each other their entire lives! I will be sure to send a picture and update tomorrow - just wanted to thank you for your tremendous effort and care in brining us peanut. Kathy

He is my pride and joy! Even my patients at work ask how he is. I hope all is well with you both and the animal family.

You two are truly wonderful people!! Thanks for what you do!!!! Hugs, Anita & Keelan

Robbie, Janet, Jasmine and Randy.
Robbie

10/11/11: Robbie is integrating very well and we're enjoying him so much! We're feeling good about the transition and he is true to form about wanting to have someone with him.

Expectedly, Robbie did bark as you were departing Sunday but that ended fairly quickly when Randy told him to come on over to watch the game on TV with him. He only barked once again after that, a day later, last night as he tried to charm us to let him out of his crate for nighty night. He has taken his role as offcial morning rouser; upon returning from his a.m. potty he jogs up to wake Jazzy and to get Randy out of bed ... it's so funny to watch!

He has been nearly on schedule with his eliminating, has had no accidents, has demonstrated he LOVES being outside as much as possible, it seems. I think thesquirrels and chipmunks in the neighborhood are officially on guard now! He is giving lots of kisses and offering his tummy to each of us to rub. He sometimes falls asleep while we do it! Right now he is relaxing on his bed near my feetin my office while I work. All the walks and playing seem to be tiring him out and he is eating well. He did seem concerned that we dropped Jazzy off at school today and was sad after that. He wimpered on the ride home from school, but he came around once we were back home and went for a nice long nature walk. He attended his first soccer game with Jazzy last night. Several of the families there were smitten with him. He LOVED all the attention and petting. We were thrilled to share Robbie's story with those that asked about him and are so grateful to UYR for rescuing these precious pups. He is a true blessing.

Hugs,

Janet
