Maverick and Marley adopted together forever
|
Maverick
6/3/18 Maverick and his sister Marley were adopted together today. Hooray!!! Marley and Maverick are two of the sweetest puppies. They are very bonded and at only 11 months old were about to be surrendered to a shelter. No one would want both, and they would surely be split up, or maybe even worse, it was a shelter after all. UYR worked quickly to prevent this from happening. These two cuties have found their happily ever after together and we couldn't be happier for them.

Dexter
5-29-18 Dexter was adopted today. Dexter came into United Yorkie Rescue from the shelter. He waited for over a week for his family to find him but they never came. So he sat, sad and lonely and with a broken leg that happened while he was on the streets. Finally he knew, and the nice shelter people knew no one was coming for this 6 month old, adorable puppy. United Yorkie Rescue was waiting for the day they could go get him and get him the care that he needed. Finally that day happened and Dexter the puppy was taken to the vet right away. He did have a broken bone, but because he was so young and his grown plates had not closed the plan was crate rest for 2-3 weeks to allow the bone to heal on its own. It was very hard on a young, active puppy to spend all his time in a crate and only be taken out on a leash to do his business. Finally his time was up and he was free. His bone was healed and puppy freedom was his. All he needed now was his forever family. That happened today. Dexter went to a wonderful home. His mom is able to give him all the care he will need for his life. He has doggie and kitty friends and 2 human older kids to play with. He has a great big fenced yard and everything he could need--a house full of doggie toys and doggie beds and doggie fun. He even gets to go to work with his mom. Dexter is the luckiest puppy ever. He has it all. Happy days and Happy Tails to Dexter the Puppy.

Remy and his new mom. Love for sure
|
Remy
5-21-18 Little Remy was adopted today. This adorable little 6 pound, 9 year old boy went to his forever home today. His former mom and dad had to leave him home for long periods of time and he was very sad. When he became a United Yorkie Rescue pup his foster mom knew he had to go to a home with a stay at home mom and/or dad. Today that is exactly the home he got. His new mom and dad are home most of the time and are ready to devote their days to Remy. They are going to love him and play with him, take him on lots of walks, and give him so much attention. Remy is ready for the best life ever. So many happy days ahead for sweet, little Remy.

 Cisco and his new family
|
Cisco
5/20/18 Tiny Cisco was adopted today. This poor little guy had a rough start. He came to United Yorkie Rescue from a hoarding/breeding situation. He was severely underweight at only 2.5 pounds and in poor health. He wouldn't eat and he was having trouble with his teeth. It took a while to see that he had an inflammation in his stomach that was causing him to not eat and to feel poorly. Finally after a being put on the right medication and having his teeth taken care of, this little guy started to put on weight and to become an active, happy little guy. He went to his forever home today with a mom who will be home with him and be there for him every day. She is ready to give him all her love and all her attention. Cisco will never again be put in a cage or mistreated. Love has found this little boy and his life is going to be filled with happiness and love.

 Corky and his forever family
|
Corky
5-18-18 Happy Days. Corky was adopted today. This adorable one and half year old boy went to his forever home today. It took Corky a little while to overcome his confusion as to why he has been in 4 homes in his short lifetime. His original owners had him a short time when they realized they were unable to care for him because of his new mom's serious illness. He went to his next home where there were two bigger dogs and it was just not the right home for him at all. They asked United Yorkie Rescue to please help them and, of course, we would not turn down this sweet boy.
Corky turned out to be a very lovable little fella who just wanted to be with his human as much as he could. He got along really well with the other Yorkie in the home and even the two kitty-cats. Even though he is a young puppy, he was well mannered and very loving. All Corky needed was his forever and last home where he would spend his next 15 or more years. Today that happened. He has a forever fur brother and sister and even a fur sister kitty cat. Corky has a great big yard with a fence so he can do what young pups like to do-and that is run around and around. Corky has a house full of toys and doggie beds. Life just got so wonderful for Corky. Happy days and happy tails to him.

Noah and his new mommy. She loves him so much
|
Noah
5-9-18 Little Noah was adopted today. Noah came into United Yorkie Rescue from a hoarder/breeder home where he was one of many many dogs living in horrible conditions. He was not even 4 pounds and underweight. Noah was very cared for in his foster home where he put on some weight, got all his vaccinations and his neuter. He was finally cared for and loved, but he really needed his own forever home. Today sweet Noah went to his forever home. He has a wonderful new mom and dad, lots and lots of doggie beds and toys, and more love than any dog could want. Noah will never see the inside of a cage again, he will never have to be worried about getting enough food, and he will always have a warm, soft, dry place to spend all his days and nights.

Beautiful Lulu has her forever home
|
LuLu
5/7/18 Lulu was adopted today. This sweet girl who found herself in the shelter was adopted today and went to the best forever home ever. Her first family surrendered her to the shelter and asked that she be euthanized because she may have had a convulsion the night before. The shelter did not think that a dog without a history or seizures should be euthanized and they reached out to their rescue partners to take this sweet girl in. United Yorkie Rescue did just that. Lulu was so happy in her foster home. She loved everyone she met, people, dogs, and even kids. She lost some of the weight that she needed to and had all her medical needs taken care of. Finally Lulu got the home of her dreams. They didn't care that she may have a trachea issue or that she is not a puppy. They took her in to love her forever and forever. She has a wonderful fur brother and a home with doggie beds, doggie toys, and lots and lots of love.

Phineas found his forever and ever home
|
Phineas
5/7/18 Phineas was adopted today. Phineas came from a horrible situation. He was one of 26 dogs owned by a breeder hoarder. His one job was to make beautiful puppies and he did that well. But it was a job without love or medical care. Thankfully another rescue group asked for our help in taking as many of these sweet pups as we could. Phineas was one of 10 dogs United Yorkie Rescue took and put into our foster homes. There was no way we would turn away from any of them. Phineas thrived in his foster home. He received the love and care he needed. He put on a little weight; got the medical care he was in great need of and learned that people are good, kind, and caring. He loved everyone he met whether they had two feet or four. He was a happy and loving little dog who only needed one more thing and that was his forever home. Phineas found that perfect home and today he was somebody's own little guy. He has a fur sister and a great new mom and dad who promised him he would be loved and cared for the rest of his life. His only job now was to play with toys, give and get kisses, and be a puppy again since he never was able to be one before. What a happy life ahead for little Phineas, the perfect pup.

 Olivia and her new daddy
|
Olivia
5-6-18 Little Olivia was adopted today. This sweet girl spent most of her life with her first mommy. Then her mommy was no longer able to care for Olivia and give her the time and attention she needed. Olivia found herself alone for hours and hours at a time. It just wasn't fair, and she was so sad. Her mom knew things had to change for Olivia and so she became a United Yorkie Rescue girl. She is vision and hearing impaired, but it only took a few minutes and she was able to find her way around her foster home with no trouble. Olivia loved the attention her foster mom was able to give her and she was happy there. Today forever love came into Olivia's life. Her forever daddy adopted her and has promised Olivia to love and care for her until the very end. Olivia is such a happy girl. She loves her foster daddy and she knows she will get so much love and attention. Happy Tails to sweet Olivia.

 Bella and her new family
|
Bella
Bella was reluctantly surrendered to UYR by her owners who loved her, but they felt Bella would have a happier life if she was in a home where she would get more attention. She is a very smart and well-mannered little girlie who settled in nicely in her foster home.
This sweet girl was adopted today into a wonderful home with teenagers - Bella loves children and is super athletic, so she will surely enjoy playing with the teens in the home. She will also enjoy playing in the fenced-in backyard at her new home. Have a happy life Sweet Bella!

Smokey
Senior Smokey Finds His Furever Home
Senior furbaby (10+ years) Smokey was adopted by the Fred and Trula Montgomery family in April 2018.
Smokey has continued to have daily needs of collapsing trachea, hernia, almost blind from cataracts,
urinary incontenance (he wears a pee pad daily) and lingering issues of fear. This little guy has not let
any of these issues affect his personality! He has adjusted socially slowly, as expected - and finally,
eight months of patience paid off, and he now begs to be on the lap of Mom & Dad every minute they
are sitting down! When found, this little guy was down to 1# 8oz. He has spent the last year building his
muscle mass back and is starting to show a little "normal" weight gain. Since building muscle mass, he is
starting to enjoy leash walks and the fenced back yard, although his sight is almost gone, he takes his
time and listens and sniffs the air a lot as he goes. He couldn't walk very long prior to that, without tiring
out. He tolerates his three fur brothers and sisters, but joins the pack in any adventure they set out on,
barking his high pitch bark and doing his little "up-in-the-air" dance as he barks each time! His Mama
works from home, so he spends his mornings and afternoons taking long sleeps. His FAV words? "Bitebite time!" and "Time for your noon-snack!"

Bernie has a new mommy and a perfect forever home
|
Bernie
4-22-18 Bernie was adopted today. Bernie found himself in the shelter though no fault of his own. His owners were no longer able to care for him so they took him to the shelter. Bernie sat in the shelter for several days waiting for someone to adopt him or come to his rescue. At last United Yorkie Rescue did. Bernie needed to see the vet as soon as possible. He has a perinea hernia, which affected his ability to have a bowel movement. The hernia was the size of a baseball on poor Bernie's bottom. This poor little fella had to contort himself like a pretzel to have a bowel movement. He also needed his mouth and teeth cared for as well as a neuter. When all that was done, and it took awhile for Bernie to recover from his hernia surgery, and he was feeling much better he was ready for his forever home. This terrific dog who is so well behaved needed a home with someone there to love him all the time. He gets along great with other dogs, but loves people more. Finally the right mommy came along and wanted to make Bernie her forever pup. His new mommy works from home a lot and that is just fine with Bernie. There is a dog park near by and lots of other dogs in the neighborhood. Bernie is one lucky fellow. He found his perfect forever home.
