03/11/18. Walks on the beach with your new mom? Heck yea!! You will be the only dog with a retired mom that stays home? Even better!

ZOEY got adopted today. Her forever mom is Linda. Look at the way this woman is looking at her little Zoey! Love at first sight! No if's, no buts....just love!

You were physically broken and emotionally crushed. We watched you heal for 9 months while you taught us lessons we didn't know we needed to learn. Letting you get adopted is hurting more than we bargained for, but you deserved your second chance at life and so much more! Your new mom was so well prepared to receive, getting ready like a mom prepares for her new baby. So much love in her eyes, heart and touch. Happy tails sweet baby girl. Thank you for leaving a mark in our hearts Zoey...we miss you soooo much already. Happy walks on the beach!

Romeo and his new mom and dad. Happy Tails Sweet Boy
Romeo

3-11-18 Romeo was adopted today. This sweet boy 9-year-old fellow found himself in the shelter with little hope of getting out. No one ever came to claim him. But United Yorkie Rescue sure did. He had such bad teeth and a terrible injury on his right leg. Everyone at the shelter thought that is was a tumor and he may need a big surgery or possibly he would lose his leg. After a visit to the veterinary orthopedic specialist it turned out he had a bone infection and did not need surgery. He only needed a few antibiotic injections. After two injections he was almost walking like new again. We were all so happy for Romeo. This sweet boy got his dental and to have all his teeth removed, but that's okay, he is eating just fine. And today he was adopted. His new fur sister is so excited to have a brother. He has a wonderful new mom and dad who are so excited to have Romeo as their new fur baby. Romeo found his forever family and his forever home. Happy Tails Romeo.

Boda has a place to rest his head forever
Boda

3-3-18 Boda was adopted today. It was a very sad day for Boda and his brother when their owner dropped them off at someone's house, and then he never came back for them. The very nice lady took care of them for 2 years, then due to her circumstances and the fact she was moving across the country, she knew she was no longer able to take care of them. That is when she called United Yorkie Rescue to help.

Poor Boda. He was 11 years old and only 4 pounds. He needed to see a vet, get his teeth fixed, and he needed all his vaccinations. Who would want an older dog who needed all that care? But his foster mom and dad told him not to worry. They assured him they would take good care of him and get him all fixed up, and someone would surely want such a sweet boy.

The minute his new dad and mom met Boda they knew he was the boy for them. Boda and their dog immediately loved each other and were friends the instant they met. Today they officially adopted sweet little Boda and took him home with them. They have promised to love and care for Boda for the rest of his life. Lucky Boda, he now has a stay at home mom and dad, a wonderful fur sister, lots of toys, all the doggie beds he needs to rest his head, and the peace of knowing that at 11 years old he found his forever home at last.

Luke and his beautiful new forever mom
Luke

02/25/2018: Luke went to his forever home today. His new mommy previously adopted from UYR and her little one had gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She read about Luke when he first came into UYR almost 5 months ago and has closely followed him in the hopes he could become her Forever Ours. His mommy works from home, so Luke will get lots and lots of attention and love. Have a Happy Life, Little Luke. You will always - always - be in your Foster Mom's heart!

Here's a note from Luke's new forever mom:

I was looking for a sweet loving little dog. After reading all the bios many times, I knew Luke was exactly who I was looking for. Luke's foster mommy gave a very detailed description of a special boy. I made application - waited......finally got the call for a meet and greet with Luke and it was love at first sight! Luke has settled into his new home and surroundings nicely. He is happy, playful, smart, and the sweetest boy ever! He is absolutely the perfect lil guy and my best friend. Many thanks to UYR for bringing us together. Luke and Joy 4-Ever!!

Coco Puff and Peanut get to stay together forever. Best friends always
Coco Puff

2-16-18 Coco Puff was adopted today. Coco Puff and his friend, Peanut, came to United Yorkie Rescue after their mommy had to go to assisted living. Coco Puff and Peanut were not bonded but were good friends. Luckily for them, they were able to find a mommy that wanted to adopt both Coco Puff and Peanut even though she didn't have too. She just knew it was the right thing to do for these sweet boys. When they went to their new home, they found plenty of dog beds (even a human's bed that they will sleep in every night), toys and new fur friends (including 4 rabbits and a cat). It was so much fun sniffing the rabbits and they immediately made friends with the resident cat. They also discovered that they will have an "Aunt" as well who will be home with them all day and give them additional love. Coco Puff and Peanut said they will miss their foster mommy but are delighted that have found a furever home that will provide them with the love they deserve.

Nemo and his forever mommy
Nemo

2/7/18 Nemo was adopted today. Nemo is a little Yorkie that was found at a local kill shelter in horrible condition. He had neglected allergies, resulting in a terrible skin infection, which left him furless and with thickened black skin. He also had a condition called diabetes insipidus, which requires that he be on medication for the rest of his life. After many tests, and over a yearly of medicated baths and medication, Nemo was finally ready to be adopted! Lucky for us, a kind woman who has a soft spot for dogs like Nemo, spotted him on the website, and his issues did not deter her. She thought he was the cutest little man and fell in love and adopted him. Nemo is so happy to be say that now he has his forever home and his new forever and ever family.

Missy Ann and her new moms. So happy
Missy Ann

1-24-18 Little Missy Ann was adopted today. Sweet Missy Ann went to her perfect forever home today. This baby has gone through so much. Her first mommy got sick and had to go into a nursing home. Then it was thought she was blind. the eye specialist said she could see and her eyes were fine, however she had another issue. It seems that Missy Ann's cerebellum was not fully formed while in utero. That was the reason for some of her behaviors like circling and her unstable gait. None of this mattered for her foster mom and she made sure Missy Ann had the best care. It didn't take long for Missy Ann to find her forever home with her perfect moms. There will always be a stay at home mom to play with her and give her good food. They know about her issues, but they don't care. They love her and will love her forever and ever. We are so happy for Missy Ann. A true happily forever after.

Dash and his new mom and dad
Dash

1-20-17 Dash was adopted today. This adorable, sweet, little 6 pound, 6 year old baby found his forever home today. Dash hated to be alone and he barked when his former owner went to work or left him alone for any reason. Then her neighbors started to complaine, and so Dash became a United Yorkie Rescue boy. He did great in his foster home because his foster parents were home most of the time. But they knew his forever home had to have a mom and dad who were home with him as much as possible. Dash found that mom and dad today. He is so happy because they will be with him all the time and take him everywhere they go. He will hardly ever be alone again. His new mom and dad are so excited to have Dash in their lives. When they all met Dash went to them right away and knew this is where he belonged forever. We are so happy for Dash and for his new forever, happily ever after, life.

Holly and her new mom, dad, and brother
Holly

1-19-18 Sweet Holly was adopted today. Adorable Holly found herself on the streets until she was picked up by the shelter. There she sat and waited for someone to claim her and sadly no one ever came. United Yorkie Rescue knew they had to save this little girl. She was a long, tangled, matted mess, her hair matted to her skin. She had a mass over her eye that needed to be removed, she needed a spay, a mammary tumor also needed to be removed, and her teeth had to be cared for. The vet had to shave Holly down to the skin in order to remove the tangles and mats. There was no way they could ever be brushed out. Holly had her much needed surgeries and went home to recuperate in her foster home. There Holly became the friendliest, happiest, most playful little girl. She acted well below her reported 7 or 8 years. She ran around like a young dog and had the best time with her toys. All Holly lacked was her own forever home. Today that happened. She has a wonderful new mom and dad and even a fur brother who is just about her size to play with and share, or even steal, toys with. Holly was looking for her home for the holidays and she found it only a few weeks later. Happy tails sweet Holly. Your foster mom and dad will miss you a lot, but are so happy for you.

Joey and his forever dads
Joey

1-18-18 Joey was adopted today. His new life will begin in Ft Lauderdale with two loving dad's and a new fur brother.

Joey is only 15 months old and has been through so much in his short life. He was owned by his breeder, who was also a hoarder, in Indiana. He then came to live with his new owner when he was 10 months old. In his new home, he had a mom, dad and two children, ages 4 and 9 years. He loved the mom, dad and the 9 year old, but did not like the 4 year old, even though the 4 year old was kind to Joey. His mom and dad tried everything to help Joey adjust to the younger child, but after 5 months, it was clear that Joey could not make that adjustment. It is unknown what happened to Joey at his previous home that would cause him to react negatively to children. Although they loved him very much and took wonderful care of him, they knew they had to do what was right for Joey. So his mom and dad had to make the difficult decision to surrender Joey to United Yorkie Rescue. They knew he needed to be in a home with no children.

Joey came to UYR on January 7th. He was a little apprehensive and confused, but soon settled in with his new foster mom. The dogtor said Joey was in excellent health and was up to date on all his vaccinations. He only needed to be microchipped and he'd be ready for adoption. It didn't take long for the applications and inquiries to start pouring in. Special care was taken to find a home with no children. After careful consideration and reference checks, his foster mom found the perfect new parents for Joey. Joey is now with his new family and UYR wishes him a happy forever after.

Yogi found her perfect forever home
Yogi

1-16-18 Yogi was adopted today. After almost a year as a United Yorkie Rescue dog, little Yogi finally found his perfect forever home. This little special needs fellow now will forever and ever get the love and care he needs. There isn't a home in the world that would be a better place for Yogi to spend the rest of his life. His mom and dad love him very much and are so happy to have Yogi as theirs forever. He came into UYR with severely infected, rotten teeth and needed antibiotics and medical care to fix it all. Once his teeth were fixed they noticed Yogi had some lameness in his front lets which resulted in his ankles folding in, causing him to lurch forward. But in spite of everything he was the perfect little boy. It took such a long time, but this sweet boy who gives everyone so many kisses and love found the perfect family who will give Yogi all the love and kisses right back. Happy Tails to little Yogi

Bo Jangles and new parents
Bo Jangles

01/11/17.UYR's Little Bo Jangles came to United Yorkie Rescue via a Good Samaritan that found him wandering around filthy, matted and suffering from a very bad case of kennel cough on a busy city street in Southern California. She took him in, cleaned him up, fed him and gave him lots of love and compassion. She felt so heartbroken, she left no stone unturned attempting to find the little one's owner, but he had no microchip. Seeing her pleas on Facebook, I was contacted about the little one and called her to find out more in an attempt to help. UYR partnered with her to expand the search for his owners, and for the next few weeks we responded to every inquiry, but in the end the owner could not be found.

Little Bo Jangles was surrendered to UYR in mid-December and was immediately taken to be medically evaluated, treated for his kennel cough and given a much-needed dental. He was found to be in great medical condition and over the next couple of weeks his cough improved, he was put on a premium diet and vitamins.

Bo emerged energetic, playful and full of Yorkie antics! With a bit of an Alpha personality, he immediately stole our hearts!

I was contacted in late December by a wonderful and loving couple that had rescued a tiny 5lb female Yorkie at 10 years old and had recently lost her at 15. It was clear that they were devastated and heartbroken. I felt moved by their story and impressed by love and commitment they had given to their little Annie until she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and thought Bo would be the perfect little companion for them.

Bo and I Facetimed and texted with Bruce and Sarah for a couple of weeks and eventually traveled for a "meet & greet" in early January. The immediate chemistry between them was heartwarming and special. Bo and I spent the day getting to know them and by the end of our time together, I was convinced they were a perfect match for Bo. Bo is now FUREVER HOME and I know that Bruce & Sarah will love him deeply, and keep him happy and healthy for the rest of his life!

Another Very Sad Microchip Case with a Very Happy Ending.......
