HAPPY TAILS BIO 04/08/2019: Georgie, along with his buddy Sammy, were adopted into the same foster home today - hooray! These boys who came from the same puppy mill had never met prior to being placed in the same foster home. Although Georgie was only a puppy @ 8 months old, he instantly bonded to Sammy who is 5 years old and followed him everywhere and did everything Sammy did.

Georgie's life was so terribly sad in the puppy mill where he was born into and was being raised to likely live his entire life in a cage making beautiful little maltese puppies. But UYR wanted to make sure that never happened. He slowly became less fearful in his foster home, although it will take a longer while for him to completely trust people again. He is a playful and happy little puppy who will now only know kind and loving words and lots of love in his new furever home.

His adoptive family loved him and Sammy before they even met them and knew that these boys were destined to be part of their family. They will have a couple of larger dogs for companions and to show them the ropes of being a member of a loving pack, as well as several kitty cats to play with as well. Although Georgie and Sammy had never seen a kitty cat, they didn't react at all, probably thinking the cats were odd-looking and smelling doggies like them! 04/13/2019: Here's an update from Sammy & Georgie's Foster Mom: "We are just having a blast with our two new additions Sammy (renamed Ollie since there was a kitty cat in the home already named Sammy) & Georgie. Both are adjusting well and much better than I expected. They love their play place and sleep comfortably in it every night, until about 4 AM which seems to be the time that they want to wake up and play. House training is going pretty well, only a couple of accidents. They get to go outside and play every two hours and they seem to love the big yard. We have only taken them on a couple of walks this week. One walk only lasted to the end of the driveway. The next walk lasted about three or four houses down. So, that's progress. They are very affectionate and love to cuddle with us. When they are not in our laps, they are following us around the house. It's so cute. They had their first bath yesterday. Georgie fought it but he was so happy to be clean and fresh that he ran around about 100 miles an hour in excitement. These two are absolutely precious. We are all completely in love with them! Thanks for all you did to save these babies and deliver them to our family. We are so grateful!"
