Maizie Hope
11/22/2019: This precious little girlie was picked up by animal control in horrendous condition, with severe corneal laceration on both of her eyes, bite marks all over her muzzle and behind her ears, and maggots and maggot eggs in all her wounds. As a result, she did lose one of her eyes, but her other eye has healed - thankfully.
Maizie has consistently shown that she is resilient and although she has had some neglect in her recent past, she still had HOPE that her future would be much brighter. She is an energetic, lively and beautiful little girl who loves nothing better than to play with her toy and receive belly rubs. She is just such a sweet little angel. And this little angel went to her forever home today where she will have a huge fenced-in yard in which to run and play, an adoring mom who is retired, and a little chihuahua/pug boy named Monty for a big brother. How lucky can a girl like Maizie get? She will receive all the love and attention she has missed during the recent past before she came into UYR. Such a wonderful and endearing ending for this precious little girl who has hit the jackpot in her adoptive home. Sweet! Have a Happy Life, Maizie Hope - you will be missed a lot by your foster mom.

Sophie
11/17/19 Hello, it is me Sophie. And guess what? have a Furever home! In only 7 weeks, I went from being tied to a tree and abandoned by the side of the road, to being loved and cared for by my Foster Mom, to hitting the doggie jackpot! I not only found my Furever home, but I have inherited a little doggie brother and playmate, as well as an extended family of aunties, cousins, and other doggies. I am told by my new Mommy that I am going to be so spoiled and loved, and after 10 1/2 years of neglect I think I deserve every bit of it, if I do say so myself! Happy Tails dear Sophie!

Jimmy Chew
11-13-19 Adorable, sweet, little Jimmy Chew was adopted today. Two months ago sweet Jimmy found himself in the shelter. As luck would have it, he was adopted at the end of August. But Jimmy's luck didn't hold for very long. Somehow while he was in his new home, he hurt his hip and his new family brought him back to the shelter. Imagine his sadness and confusion. He had a family for a month and then he didn't. And again, through no fault of his own, sweet Jimmy was back in the noisy shelter, only this time he was in pain. He was hurting and limping. But his luck changed quickly. United Yorkie Rescue came to his rescue and Jimmy Chew was going to get the help he needed. He was immediately put on pain meds and plans were made for his big surgery. It took a few weeks to heal from his hip surgery and Jimmy was finally ready to go to his forever home. Today he did. He has a wonderful new mom and dad and even a new fur brother and sister. There is fenced yard to run around in, as well as lots of toys and doggie bed, and a house full of love and caring. We are so happy for sweet Jimmy. He is finally home for good.

Dana
11/12/19 Adorable Dana was adopted today. She really found her most perfect forever home. Little Dana lost the only mom she had ever known. Her mommy had a massive stroke and was unable to communicate and was no longer mobile. She could not take care of little Dana. She was in a nursing home getting 24-hour care. Dana went to live with some people who really didn't want her. They took her in just to keep her from having to go to the shelter. They would hold Dana until she could find another place to live. Dana's owner's son and daughter-in-law who live across the country were able to contact United Yorkie Rescue. They told us about Dana and what was happening with her. That is all we needed to know. In less than 24 hours Dana became a United Yorkie Rescue dog. She was the sweetest little girl and her foster parents knew this sweet girl would find a wonderful forever home. She found that home today. She has a fur brother, a wonderful fenced yard, and she even gets to go to work with her dad. What a great life is ahead for darling Dana. Happy tails little girl. We are so happy for you.

We are going to be together always in our forever home.
|
Buddy (and Rocky)
11-6-19 Buddy and his brother and best friend Rocky were adopted together today. Buddy and Rocky did not have the best life at their former home. Sadly, they have lived their whole lives in a hot metal shed behind the owner's house. That all changed when they were rescued by United Yorkie Rescue. Their foster mom knew these boys loved each other very much and needed to be adopted together. Today that happened. They will have the best life ever with their new mom and dad. Best of all they will always be together. Life will never be sad for these boys ever again

Kacie hits the jackpot
|
Kacie
Update 10/8/19: 15yrs old, blind but such a baby face and just sooo precious and sweet!! Such a happy ending for sweet Kacie. Surrendered by a loving owner, Kacie was adopted into a home soon after her vetting. Sadly in a month's time she was back after their jobs had changed. With her age and her blindness I was on the fence about adopting this angel again. She had developed some anxiety after the changes in her life and it was either keep her here or find the "purfect" forever. Hello PURFECT!! Kacie's new mommy Linda owns an operates a 501c3 animal sanctuary Flower Dog's, and just fell in love with this princess. So today, Kacie, along with the help of the amazing crew of the Delta DART program, made her flight to Rhode Island and is all snuggled in the bed while getting lots of love from her new mommy Linda. It is the best feeling in the world, when these amazing loving seniors get their gift of furever love. Happy Tails sweet baby girl...your FM sends you love and kisses!!

Lily
10/6/19 Little Lily was adopted today. Life was sad for sweet little Lily. After a being dumped in a state park in Florida, Lily had to overcome many obstacles. All that changed for her when she became a loved and cared for foster baby. It took a little while, but now Lily is a happy and healthy little girl. Lily had become a little "Velcro" girl, and her foster mommy knew Lily would need a home with someone who was home a lot of the time and have a lot of time to devote to Lily and only Lily. Today Lily found her perfect furever mommy who will give Lily 100% of her love, time and attention. Lily couldn't have asked for anything better than that.. Lily brought so much joy to her foster mommy and is now able to give that joy to her furever mommy. Lily sure did find her happily ever after.

Riley
10/5/19 Riley was adopted today. Riley found his perfect forever home. This little fellow was found on the streets and as often happens, he ended up in the shelter. There he sat waiting for his family to come for him, and as also often happens, they never did. But of course United Yorkie Rescue came for him, and Riley became a United Yorkie Rescue dog. After being in his foster home a few days Riley developed a terrible cough. It took several weeks and a lot of strong medicine, but finally Riley was well enough to go to his forever home. Today that happened. Riley took a long car ride, which tired him out, but he knows he is home for good. He has a wonderful stay at home mom and even an older human brother. Riley is ready for the rest of his life to get started, and what a great life it will be.

Happy Tails Theodore!
|
Theodore
9-20-19 Theodore was too anxious with all the noise and activity in his former home. He longed for a calm, quiet setting and a human to call his very own. Someone to spend his senior years with and give him lots and lots of belly rubs. Well, he hit the doggy lotto and will have all that and more as he has joined an active senior community where he will be the center of his person's universe and ride around as king of his home and golf cart! Happy tails Theodore!

Auggie TX
Hi all!! Happy tails happy tails! I was adopted by a wonderful couple. They have had a diabetes dog in the past and that's one of the reasons they selected me for adoption. "We know that a dog like Auggie will be hard to adopt and we want to be the one to adopt him." I have a new dog sister her name is Alex and she 6 years old. I'm so happy to have found my forever home. Here is a photo of my new family!

I am adopted with my brother Rambo
Rambo is adopted with his brother Cookie
|
Cookie (and Rambo)
9/14/19 Cookie and his brother Rambo were adopted today. Cookie and Rambo's previous owner passed away suddenly and their family was unable to care for them. The people who took Cookie and Rambo in did not give them the best life. They were being kept outside in a hot metal storage shed. They had no training at all in any doggie manners. That all changed the day they became United Yorkie Rescue dogs. Their foster mom started with house training and leash training and the boys learned quickly. They loved giving kisses and having their bellies rubbed. In no time Cookie and Rambo were ready for their forever home. They now not only have a forever mommy and daddy, but also a new grandmother and human brother and sister. With all that love and attention given to only Cookie and his brother, life is going to be so wonderful for these boys. No shed ever again for them. Only a life of love, care, happiness, and belly rubs for them every day until forever.
