Baxter TX (nee Nicky)
5/1/21 Baxter found his perfect forever happy home with a great family who has been trained in how to handle his feedings to prevent aspiration. Although we did undertake the oral-nasal fistual repair, a stitch has already come loose. The new family will be following up closely on this, but after this second repair, a third will not likely be successful. So care needs to be taken to manage his condition during healing. Hooray for Baxter.

Cooper
4/24/21 Cooper was adopted today and he has the best family a little doggie could ever want. There was never a dog happier to be out of the shelter than Cooper. He couldn't get into his rescue angel's car fast enough. He was harnessed in and before he could even settle down, he gave her kisses and love. Why this sweet dog ended up in the shelter we may never know? He did have some issues, like a mass on his leg and mats and tangles in his shaggy hair but still his foster mom and dad said what a sweet sweet boy. His only one issue was he wanted to be an only dog in the family and get all the love and attention. Today that is exactly what happened. He is a wonderful new mom and dad, no other pup in the home, and someone who will be home with him almost all the time. He will get long walks he loves and best of all he will be the only fur baby to get all the love, the kisses, and the cuddles. Hooray for Cooper. He will never be a shelter dog again. He will be a loved forever, well cared for fellow

Ellie and her new mom and dad. It is love.
|
Ellie
4/18/21 Ellie was adopted today. Beautiful Ellie went to her forever home today. She will be an only dog with love and love and more love every day. Ellie was sadly surrendered to the shelter when her owner could not afford to keep her any longer. This sweet, friendly, little girl had a short history of urinary issues, yet before she came to us, she had only seen the vet once about it. There were many things that could have been causing this, but they were unable to get her the veterinary care she needs. As soon as Ellie became a United Yorkie Rescue dog she was taken to the vet. Ellie was given a complete medical exam and found to be in good health. She was given medicine for incontinence and after a little trial and error with the dosage Ellie is now able to control her bladder and was ready for her forever home. Her new mommy and daddy know lots about little dogs and Ellie will now be the center of their world. They are ready to give Ellie the best life ever. Ellie has found her happily ever after and has a wonderful home forever and ever.

Baby Boy
4/10/21 Baby Boy went to his forever home today. This sweet little 4.5-pound fellow had several homes in his life due to no fault of his own. United Yorkie Rescue was determined to find him his perfect and final forever home. Today that happened. This guy is a tiny little nugget who is very sweet and loving. He loves being with his human more than anything else. When Baby Boy came to us, he saw the vet right away. He had very dry and flaky skin which was irritated. His skin was treated with special shampoo and antibiotics. The antibiotics were also for his ear infections. He got the dental he desperately needed and lost a lot of his teeth, all because of previous neglect. Finally, Baby Boy was ready for his forever home. Today he got that wonderful forever home. His forever mom and dad are home all the time and ready to give him lots of love and attention. He has a fur brother and sister just about his size and age. Baby Boy loves his forever family. He is the happiest little guy on the block.

Baxter
3/28/21 Baxter the adorable little Morkie was adopted today. Baxter was the only dog in his former home and well loved. Then came the time when his former owners could no longer care for him. When his first family could no longer care for him, he was adopted by a wonderful person who didn't want Baxter to go to the shelter. Unfortunately, Baxter didn't like the younger dogs in his new home. He didn't want to play with them or even be their friend. When they came near him, he let them know that he didn't want to have anything to do with them. Baxter's new mommy knew her home was not the right home for Baxter. His mommy knew that United Yorkie Rescue would find him a better home. And today that happened. It took a while before Baxter was ready for adoption. He had several Urinalyses because of UYRs and crystals in his urine. But finally, the last one showed no crystals and no more UTIs. He was, at last, ready for his new home. His new mom waited a long time for Baxter to be ready to become her pup. Baxter will be the only pup in his new home and that makes him very happy. He has a stay-at-home mom, a fenced yard, and lots of toys to play with. He will get to go on lots of walks and Baxter sure does love his walks. Baxter is ready for all the love and attention that will be coming to him only. Baxters life is going to be so happy and so wonderful. We know Baxter found his happily ever after. Hooray for Baxter.

Georgie
3/19/21 We are so happy. Georgie was adopted today. Georgie's former mom and dad knew that Georgie was no longer getting the attention from them he needed and he deserved. There was a new baby in the home and babies take up a lot of time. With their work schedule and the baby, Georgie was unhappy. His thoughtful mom and dad knew how much Georgie loves people and he needed a home where he would get the attention he so badly wanted. When Georgie first came to his foster home his parents saw right away that Georgie loved them and was not fond of the other dogs in the home. He only wanted to run around the backyard and chase the lizards and try to catch squirrels and birds. That was the most fun he had and so today Georgie went to his forever home, and they have everything he ever wanted. He has a stay-at-home mom and dad, a fenced backyard, and no other dogs to get the attention and love that he wants for himself. He was so happy that he ran all around the house and the backyard. If you could see this pup you would know his smile goes from ear to ear. Happy Tails Georgie. Your life is going to be so wonderful.

Ariel
3/13/21 Ariel was adopted today. Ariel was with her former family since she was a young dog. She knew that her mom and dad and human kids had places they went to during the day and she patiently waited for them, often in her crate, to come home to her each day. Then came a time when the kids didn't go to school and her mom and dad were working from home. Ariel was so happy to have them with her every day. But all good things for Ariel must end and her humans went back to school and work and Ariel was alone and hated it. Her mom watched her on the puppy cam and saw how unhappy she was. She had developed a bad case of separation anxiety and no one was home long enough to help her through it. Ariel needed a home with a mom and dad who would be home with her most of the time and today she got that. She has a stay-at-home mom and dad and a fur sister too. They will all be together most of the day. They will have a nice sunny lanai and walks to the park and around the neighborhood. Ariel will have what she wanted, her people to be with her to love her. Now Ariel has a family to give her love and attention right back to. Life will be just like Ariel wanted it to always be, and now its forever

I have the best new mommy and daddy

Cole
3/9/21 Little Cole was adopted today. Cole's former owners knew that Cole was not getting the attention he needed now that his mom and dad were surprised with a new baby born recently. They were concerned when Cole showed signs of being unhappy, and yes, even dogs can let you know when they are unhappy. His mom and dad were so sad for Cole. They knew for his happiness he needed a home where someone would be able to give him that attention he so badly wanted and needed. Today Cole was adopted, and he found his perfect forever home. His mom is home most of the time and he has a fur sister just about his age and size. He also has a nice fenced backyard. Best of all Cole has all the toys he could ever want. Cole loves his toys almost as much as he loves his people. Could life be any better for Cole? He has lots of toys, a fur sister, and a mom who will be home to give him lots of cuddles and love. Happy Tails to sweet, adorable, little Cole.

Tommy
3/2/21 Tommy was adopted today. Shy, timid, little Tommy came into United Yorkie Rescue in early December. It was discovered at his first vet appointment that besides having a terrible yeast infection he also had bladder stones. His vet had hoped that putting him on the correct prescription diet would get the stone to break up and he would eliminate them naturally. After trying for over a month it never happened and Tommy needed bladder stone surgery to remove the stubborn stones. After his surgery he improved, but it took another month to get his diet adjusted since his sensitive stomach couldnt handle some of the foods that were tried. Finally, his food was straightened out and he was ready to go to his forever home. His forever mommy is a stay-at-home mom and his dad works only a few days a week. He has a nice fenced yard, will get lots of walks and Tommy loves his walks, and he will be the one and only dog getting so much love and attention. Tommy's mom and dad know all about Yorkies and they will be sure to keep Tommy on his special Rx diet. He is so happy to be home forever and always

Abby
02/24/2021: Abby was adopted today. She was well-loved in the only home she had ever known until her dad passed away in February,2020. Her mom was unable to continue to care for Abby. This sweet 11-year-old tiny girl needed some additional vetting to clear up her terrible skin dermatitis from fleas, and to treat the bilateral bacterial infections in both ears. Abby was adopted out to a nice family, but the other dog in the family was very jealous of her, so she was returned after only 10 days. She is now in her true forever home where she will never ever have to leave. She has a senior sister who is 15-1/2 years old and a brother that is 10 years old, so they can all grow old together. She has two stay-at-home parents and will seldome be left alone. Abby may be an 11-year-old senior, but she gets to start her life again with a wonderful new family. Happy Tails to little Abby. Have a wonderful life.

Corky
2/13/21 Little Corky was adopted today. This sweet little Italian greyhound mix somehow ended up in the shelter. When no one came for him, this tiny 2-year-old, 6.5-pound little guy needed out of the shelter. When the shelter people reached out to United Yorkie Rescue, we knew we had to help him, no matter that he was not a Yorkie. He needed us and we weren't going to let him down. Corky did well in his foster home. His foster mom discovered that Corky is a little shy and skittish and knew he needed a quiet home with no other dogs. He loves to cuddle and snuggle with his people. He needed his people to be home with him most of the time. Corky found the perfect forever home. He will be the only dog to get all the love and cuddles he wants. He has a stay a home mom and dad who promised him he would never be abandoned again. Corky is ready to start his new life. Happy Tails little guy.
